Every
weekend we have Family Fun Tours happening that
your family can take part in without a reservation, just
show up during business hours. We vary activities
seasonally. Spring and Summer tours include Gold
Panning, Gem Sluicing, Candle Making, Tomahawk Throwing,
and a visit to the Petting Zoo. Fall and Winter
tours include Tractor-drawn Hayrides, Apple Cider
Making, Candle Dipping, and Petting Zoo. Price
ranges from $10-$15 per person depending on family/group
size.
Kids
especially love our Gem
bag
($11.50) of ore rough. These bags contain
an assortment of semi-precious gems & minerals like iron pyrite (fools gold), topaz, tiger eye,
hematite, quartz, rose quartz, amethyst crystals,
agates, crystal points, fossil shark teeth and
more. 'Miners' carefully sluice out the
contents in as much or little time as desired. Gold panning is also available for
$6 (kids under 12) and $8 (adults) which includes a
lesson & vial, and is a great chance to find--and
keep, some real placer gold. We always keep at
least one good nugget in the trough for that lucky prospector
to find!
Check out our Gift Shop which has small and large mineral
specimens at reasonable prices for the collecting
enthusiast. Loads of wooden toys & games,
unique gifts, and jewelry--perfect for those
youngsters. My wife's side of store is well
stocked with handmade pot-pourri, holiday goods, her own
bath & body line of products, and home goods.

late as the evening rolls around and cozy up to a
warm oak-wood campfire to roast hot-dogs &
marshmallows (bring your own) and enjoy a starlight sky.
